A private, membership only luxury experience for large dogs who deserve more than boarding. Four elite spots. Four acres. Four days of freedom each week.
Majors Elite Canine Retreat is a highly curated, relationship driven environment built for dogs who are treated like family. Every detail, from the temperament evaluation to the open acreage, exists to create a calm, structured, high attention experience that no traditional facility can match.
We intentionally limit membership to maintain an environment where every dog receives genuine personal care and trust. Your dog does not share space with strangers. They join a carefully selected pack of companions who have been evaluated for compatibility, temperament, and energy.
Every dog must pass a thorough temperament evaluation before earning the status of Canine Elite Member. This ensures pack harmony, safety, and genuine compatibility among all guests.
A fully fenced retreat with shade trees, open fields, and a seasonal pool. Designed for freedom and enrichment, not confinement. Your dog runs, explores, and relaxes on their terms.
Up to four days per week with a flat monthly fee regardless of usage. No per visit charges. No surprise costs. Just stable, predictable access to your dog's second home.
Just 4 elite member spots are available. Your dog earns a place alongside our 3 resident dogs, forming a total pack of 7. Every member receives the deep personal attention and individual care that high volume facilities simply cannot provide.
Canine behaviorists and animal welfare researchers agree: the optimal companion pack for enrichment, social balance, and natural pack dynamics falls between 5 and 8 dogs. At Majors Elite, your dog joins that sweet spot.
Leading canine behaviorists recommend packs of 5 to 8 for peak social enrichment. Within this range, dogs form meaningful individual bonds while maintaining natural order and reducing competition for attention.
Three resident dogs. Four elite members. Together they form a pack of seven, large enough for natural hierarchy to emerge, small enough for every dog to receive genuine personal care and deep social bonds.
Our resident dogs are permanent members of the Majors Elite family. They anchor the pack, provide stability, and serve as trusted companions for every elite member who earns a spot alongside them.
Research in applied animal behavior science consistently shows that dogs in well matched packs of 5 to 8 exhibit lower stress indicators, reduced anxiety behaviors, increased play engagement, and stronger overall wellbeing compared to solitary or overcrowded environments. The pack of seven is not a limit. It is a standard.
Three permanent residents anchor our pack, providing stability, leadership, and genuine companionship. They set the tone for every dog who joins our family.
Sequoia is the heart of the pack. Golden Retrievers are known for their gentle, intuitive nature and effortless ability to make every dog around them feel at ease. Whether she's greeting a nervous newcomer or leading the group on an afternoon adventure across the property, Sequoia sets the tone: calm, warm, and endlessly patient. She's the dog every other dog wants to be near.
Carver brings the energy. Labradors are born pack dogs: social, loyal, and happiest when surrounded by their crew. Carver's infectious enthusiasm turns everyday moments into bonding experiences. His natural confidence and easygoing temperament make him the ultimate teammate, whether it's a run through the open field or a cool down by the pool. He never meets a stranger.
Jessi Jane is the quiet leader. Australian Shepherds are sharp, perceptive, and naturally attuned to the dynamics around them. She reads the room before she enters it, keeping the pack connected and balanced with an instinct that cannot be taught. Her herding heritage means she's always aware of where everyone is and what they need. If the pack has a compass, it's Jessi Jane.
True elite care means knowing when to slow down. Two dedicated napping rooms give each dog a private, calm environment for structured rest throughout the day. This is not downtime. It is an intentional part of the enrichment model, designed to support each dog's natural rhythm and emotional wellbeing.
Each napping room hosts a small, compatible group of two to three dogs at a time. The intimate setting mirrors the comfort of a trusted pack while eliminating the overstimulation that comes with larger group environments. Rest here is earned, comfortable, and genuinely restorative.
Each room features a color television playing programming specifically developed to reduce canine anxiety and promote restful states. The content is grounded in behavioral research and selected for its calming effects on dogs, making each rest period an active investment in your dog's mental and emotional health.
Three tiers, one standard of care. Choose the commitment that fits your life. Placement is guaranteed for annual members.
Only 3 elite member spots available. Complete your application — your $20 fee is credited in full if accepted.
If your application meets our criteria, your dog may receive a chance to earn a spot at the Majors Elite Canine Retreat. We evaluate every submission personally. Expect to hear from us within 48 hours if your dog qualifies for the next step: a temperament evaluation.
This isn't a decision to make lightly. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most.
Access up to 5 days per week on our 4-acre property. Flat monthly fee regardless of usage. Your dog joins a curated pack of no more than 7 dogs total (4 members + 3 resident dogs). Includes temperament evaluation, daily enrichment, outdoor exploration, and napping room access.
Quality over quantity. Every dog in our care receives personal attention from the curator. Limiting to 4 member dogs ensures a stress-free, low-density environment where each dog is known by name, temperament, and preference. This is not daycare — it's a retreat.
We observe your dog's behavior with our resident pack over a supervised introductory session. We're looking for compatibility — calm energy, social confidence, and the ability to share space respectfully. Not every dog is the right fit, and that's by design.
Absolutely. We encourage prospective members to schedule a site visit. See the 4 acres, meet the resident pack, and ask questions. Contact us to arrange a time.
We offer month-to-month ($1,600/mo), 6-month commitment ($1,550/mo), and annual commitment ($1,500/mo). All tiers include the same full access — the discount rewards your commitment to the pack.
The temperament evaluation serves as an introduction. If your dog is accepted, the first month is your trial. If it's not the right fit for either party, we part ways — no long-term lock-in on the month-to-month plan.
